Every day was challenging living in thailand but it was also rewarding. I would expect that people leave thailand for the same reason that they left america uk canada , what have you. Those countries are over regulated. Thailand is much less regulated , however , that starts to wear on you also. Garbage and scraps on beach.No regulation for building codes, it can be a bit quaint at first , but it does wear on you that every place becomes kind of a cluttered mass and not very convenient. Also, the air quality in Thailand is among the worst in the world unfortunately , because it has so much else to offer. But you're not going to change the habits of millions of people in the whole of south east asia and southern china and their burning practices doing agriculture. That's just the way it is. Unfortunately, you're not going to see the sunrise or set a lot of days and for months on end.You'll have air quality that is so bad it will make Los Angeles look like one of the cleaner air cities.And that's talking from back in the nineteen seventies. Love the people. Love the language and culture, but that constantly changes everywhere. We don't live in a stagnant state. It will always change. Sometimes for the better and sometimes worse.

Im 32 and Australian and its no different here. Australia 15 years ago is a very different place today. My goal is to move abroad. 40% of my pay goes tax and the country is up shit creek and housing is unaffordable. After tavelling around, i want to move away within the next few years.

Forget about all the risky investment in real estate stuffs. I only have one word for you if you ever want to become financially independent and just live a life as a retired expat gentleman in Thailand by the time you are in your early 50s. That word is BITCOINS.

Same properties i looked at for sale 2 years ago on Fazwaz etc, are still for sale now.

I lived in Phuket for 10 years and left in 2013 because it had become too crowded. Still live in Thailand and visit Phuket from time to time.

You MUST have a monthly livable income to live here in Thailand. They come over here thinking that living for today is the way to live. Tomorrow will NOT take care of itself. They have to borrow money to buy a ticket back home.

I made a conscious decision a long time ago to not feature my young children in any of my social media. Firstly was the security issue that you touched upon, about there being a lot of strange people online. Secondly, I just wanted my kids to have a choice whether they want their lives to be in public. I didn’t have a particularly good time as a child growing up and I’m glad that my life wasn’t on social media then as it wasn’t even invented! Do you remember that embarrassing time when Your family members would get out the photo albums and show them around when you’re relatives were visiting? It’s a similar feeling to that, only I’m more intimate one these days. Many people are quite surprised when they visit me in the bar that I even have children. Although I do refer to them quite a lot in the members area. I hope you, Maybelle and the youngster are all doing splendidly and hope to see you soon.

Not good idea to invest big money in Thailand, as Farlang you can invest many Millions „ Euros „, but you never „ Thai“…always Farlang., I like you and Maybelle very much, thanks for all good Videos in the past but all „ new Videos „ are only to make „ Proberty Investment or RNBN Rental, for the most „ Follower“ not can stay more as 2/3 weeks and don’t want invest big money in Thailand…every year new rules..

Investment property in your own countries and rent because you know the laws better and less chance off being ripped of .RENT RENT RENT IN THAILAND, because you can only lose your rent and deposit. Also you can move if you don't like area or neighbours to suit you.

In my long 29 year experience in Thailand with property is simple....do not get involved in it unless you are prepared to loose money....the property market here can be a minefield !

Obviously there will be all sorts of comments about buying or not buying and how best or better to invest rather than to buy foreign property and the potential legal and political ramifications of such a situation. The book stores and libraries are stuffed with all manner of self help and financial experts or want to be experts writing down their experiences or hopes or outright fabrications about this method or that system etc etc etc. In the end it is all about finding what works best for you and those you love and who depend on you for their happiness and livelihoods. What ever the path it is always about putting yourself out there and working to a goal within whatever means you bring to the table and trying everyday to improve your lot and the happiness and peace of those who depend upon you.After almost 7 decades now with exposure to every conceivable level from the family who inherited an Italian massive worldwide family fortune where a business worth 3.6 Billion in annual income is nothing but a rounding factor in their annual income to US based old line factory owners who are now on their 4th generation living very well on the legacy of that work to a recent tech family member who just proved their self taught deep expertise and landed a startup company position that will be worth 35 to 45 million by the end of the year when they go public or are bought by one of the big ones. In every single case of these successes it all started with someone who just said I'm doing this or that and then put their shoulder down and started to push the stone forward that many others around them were saying could not be moved. Thailand with the huge win, especially if your retired Top Hospitals, great infrastructure, the best food globally, easy to see entire country without taking a boat or flying and people are friendly. Phililppines is 3rd world dirty noisy roosters mistreated dogs, poor roads and the worst food in SE asia... Philippine people are amazing and they speak english however for my hard earned money i want better amenities and services for the same price or less... Thailand wins huge if your young island hoping the Ph would be great,

We own our own home and several long term rental villas here in Hua Hin in a Thai company which is a management company. I have a work permit. Wife 51% and me 49%. We pay taxes on all the rental revenue and our salaries. I am the managing director with sole signature authority and I also own the actual houses personally. Now my wife and I have been married 15 years and we still own quite a few properties in the U.S. in our LLC there. We have a long history together and a high degree of earned trust. It’s not for everyone but for me I’m quite comfortable with it. Everything involves risk but the question is not the risk, but whether it’s a manageable risk. This structure for me is the most manageable risk. Definitely use a good Thai lawyer to set it up. I’m a lawyer of 32 years myself and I’d never do anything here without a Thai lawyer.

some good tips i wish anything financial was straight forward though maybe you can cover more on if you must live in Thailand to invest there and tax on worldwide income and how this effects you investing if it does at all thank you

The government of Thailand have zero desire for foreign property investment.. It's not encouraged! Same in Vietnam phillipines.. Don't waste your money or time. Sure rent day to day etc... But unless you have been married to a local f I r 15, 30 years don't bother!

When I was in Phuket back in 2012 I spent a few days looking at properties for sale. I remember a two bed, two bath apartment in a very nice complex, only 2 stories tall, massive wrap around balconies, big open floorplan, marble flooring, western style throughout, about 180 sq m and the price was about £110k. Six years earlier I had bought in the UK, 2bed 2 bath, about 85 sq m, and it was £170k. In terms of value for money, it was a no brainer. If the intention was as an investment and hedging on the resale value, well, who the f knows where it does and doesn't go, but in all the years since, and having been a property owner (UK) for the last 18 yrs, I have to say my view has changed. I'd now prefer to rent, knowing that I don't have a long term commitment, other than maybe 12 months lease, and if the landscape changes, I can scoot to Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, etc, if the circumstances in those other countries are more attractive. At least that's how I feel now.

Watching the video today and what your doing and gathering good properties and also helping the community rent them and gain incomes i think your get substantially more and i think if you keep doing this over and over i can see you becoming a millionaire in 10 years from now and that will be your prime takeover in revenues plus generating more turnover for the restaurant. Just a strange feeling about it. I think everyone should come to you in your area who is interested in renting with a view also for the productivity of there properties as a lifetime insurance income. That's my take on it. I been into construction 23 years now myself and buying up condos in philippines and the main tourist islands boracay and bohol beach. So keep doing what you doing only the positive survive!
